Spirituality And Football

Spirituality And Football

Football

There was a young man who was very interested in being spiritual. He was lean, looked weak and lacked
stamina.

He met the spiritual Guru Swami Vivekananda and asked piously, “Dear Guru, I have listened to your
sermons. I want to go to the next level and become spiritually enlightened. How do I do it?”

Vivekananda had a choice to get him enrolled as his disciple. He looked at the physique of the young guy
and said three powerful words.

What were they?

“Go, play football!” Why?

Vivekananda was more interested in seeing a healthier individual than getting a disciple.
After reciting this story, Freddie advised Martha, “Taking care of your health is a fundamental
responsibility for you as a leader. Your availability to support your team when they need is crucial. When
you take care of your health, you’re available to meet the needs of your team and your family. Paying
attention on your team members’ health is important for them to be able to move to the next level. So,
do everything right to maintain your health and improve the health of your team members. You cannot
continue to achieve big things in life, when you continue with habits that affect your health.”
